Guess who this is!Haha you'll find out at the end of the post.If I remember to write my name.I tend to forget.HAHA but I'm sure some of you will guess.HAHA!Anyway I'm so proud of our class.We cried together and we had such a great last day of school!We made Mrs Tan cry!And she nearly cried again at Open Studios.Shows what a great class we are.Oh my gosh I'm being so ego.Haha anyway I'll miss 2/1.

Even though sometimes we can be really infuriating.I'll miss everything.Getting called stones and blocks of wood and lumps of dough and goodness knows what else and learning class dances that nobody wanted to do.Haha.It's been a great 2 years.The best in my whole schooling life yet.And I bet they'll be the best ever!Yeah!I wanted to write something but I forgot what.DAmn it was so nice.Ok anyway,ALL OF YOU MUST TURN UP AT DRAMA SHOWCASE!I DON'T CARE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WATCH!IT'LL BE OUR LAST TIME TOGETHER AS A CLASS!Unless of course you want a class gathering.I'd love one:)

I will be smsing everyone (my bill is going to go through the roof-.-) but just in case I'm telling you guys here first. Yes we need to discuss but please if you read this and when you receive my sms please tell me what you can bring. If you have any ideas please also tell me:)

Thanks for staying back today. I hope you all are proud of the dance. I know I am, and also proud of you all too.

But for those people who said But I didn't know! No one sms-ed me! and such like that, I'm really disappointed in you. The class comm + councillors sms-ed the entire class and took a lot of effort and money to make sure all of you knew.

We're going to do this last games for ourselves, not for winning, not for the sake of proving yourselves. We're going to do this so that we're proud of ourselves, that we know we can unite and gell together when we have to.

Important Message

Tomorrow (20/10/08), please bring $5 for the dance props and wear PE attire. Everyone will be staying back to practice the dance for an hour or two, depending on how fast you guys learn the dance. That's right - everyone, because it's our last games together and we're going to put in all our effort to make it a success. No half-heartedness. There is no excuse for not learning the dance - you have to make time, whether it is in the morning, during recess or after school. Approach Shi Pei, Sarah, me, Ping En, Pamela, Swee Ying, Yun Lu and Kai Li to learn the dance steps and teach each other.

Hello 2/1 people!

First... please take care of all your belongings especially the valuable stuff because you-know-what is out there and yeah, we don't want any more cases. If you got suggestions to catch the person, (i don't know... you have a DNA kit?) tell the class comm and we'll see whether it makes sense.

Second... for Friday's reference, please look at the NE board in class or the whiteboard outside class. If you dress wrongly or don't bring anything... We don't have extras in class. TAKE NOTE.

Third... this isn't important but rmb the riddle on the whiteboard? What breaks but don't fall and falls but don't break?

Answer: Day breaks but don't fall and night falls but don't break. We got some pretty good answers too; heart breaks but don't fall... but people who said Pyrex glass... very funny.

Fourth... Make sure you do all your homework with your best effort and study for all the upcoming tests. Don't make the teachers go prematurely grey without reason, okay? BE GOOD.

Fifth... Say Happy Birthday to all the birthday girls. I'm sorry our singing tradition has stopped for the term... It might continue.

Sixth... For teachers day, we're allowed to make a dedication to teachers. I don't know whether you guys want to do anything so if you do, tell the class comm before teacher's day yeah, thanks.

Seventh... Please try to clean up after yourselves when you're in class because the class is getting dirty and we're out of dustpan and broom though i'll try to find one. Pick up all the rubbish you see, okay? Thanks for helping in these small ways.

Hello wonderful 2/1 people! :D

Tomorrow we'll try to find time whenever we can to make the fashion parade costume and WIN! We need the following items:

- scotch tape/duct tape/glue
- old cloth (t-shirt, skirts...)
- colourful plastic bags
- popsticle sticks
- straws
- recycled paper
- anything you think useful
- multi-coloured strings
- scissors

Must bring at least TWO items okay!!!

ALSO, please look at the NE Quiz outside the Level 2 staffroom and answer them before 7.10am and hand them in! They're in chinese, malay and tamil (rachel, you're our sole supporter for this)!

Ok. The start of the second semester is here. Everybody, everyday, learn something new. Be enthusiastic in class. Now that you've made mistakes in semester one, learn from them to make the second semester even better.

There are still class projects. Be participative and listen to your i.c.s (in-charges). They may or may not be committee members but respect them all the same! I know you all are enthu and great rockets so show it to the world and blast out! :D

Hi 2/1!

This is a reminder for all the people who haven't collected your belongings from Friday. They're all in the classroom. Please reclaim them by Wednesday or they will be donated to charity. (i'm serious) We'll have a major cleaning up session tomorrow morning. Be reminded that all the OM things will have to be cleared by Thursday because the holidays are here and you probably won't need it until next semester. Anything not taken back will be thrown. I am deadly serious. Our class is great but the classroom looks like a pigsty and a lot of people have been complaining about mosquitoes we did not have a problem with before.

This is for those girls who are going for filming. Tomorrow (Tuesday), please go for Poetry Slam selections at 2.15pm. You'll be given priority and go first for the auditions. Then, as a group, meet Mrs Wong at the Level 3 staffroom at 2.45pm with your bags, because you are dismissed from the HDB Hub. The mock maths trail is from 3pm-5pm. Bring stationary and calculator, the maths trail booklet will be provided. Wear a white t-shirt and shorts with pinafore over.

Hello 2/1!

Well done for IJ Fiesta's Haunted House! All of you were super good and tolerated all the pulls and pushes and stepping-on-toes and terrible language! I'm so proud of you people! :D I think it really bonded our class together and showed everyone that 2/1 can stick together and accomplish anything and we're second to none. =)

IJ Fiesta was just a stepping stone and now we have inter-class games to deal with! We're going to emerge top again, right! (resounding YES) Now, here are some announcements regarding inter-class games:

1. For the inter-class games, I still need one person to volunteer as a "referee". If you know the game and you can pull it off, please respond and tell me by Tuesday. Otherwise I'll choose any person.

2. For banner-painting, Ping En is buying the cloth. We need everybody to bring paintbrushes, paint, newspapers and any banner layouts. If you have already made banner layouts, please snap a picture of it and email it to me.

3. For mass dance, please bring drawing block, thick black markers and scotch tape.

Stay back on Tuesday and Wednesday, probably until 5-6pm. You must try to come on Wednesday for the entire mass dance rehearsal. We'll probably finish the banner painting on Tuesday as well.

I'll put up the list of people who volunteered for each group "rounders", "banner", "officials", "mass dance" on the whiteboard tomorrow.

Hello!

Because I'm bored, I shall post some inspiring comments. :)

Let's enjoy tomorrow's maths trail! Haha, sweat it out in the sun! I want to go on the SkyRide, but I don't think that's included in the program. Unless we have to measure the height x distance or something. You know, you have to put the safety bars between your legs or if you go whoops-a-daisy, you're toast. (ok, that wasn't inspiring. but i digress.)

Wear class t-shirts people! Don't worry if the colour is fading. If you read the label, I think it said "hand-wash only". Or something along the lines. But it's too late if you've dumped it in the washing machine anyway.

And make sure you check your email for any updates on the IJ Fiesta.

And don't forget to bring anything tomorrow!

Haunted House Details

Haunted House

Date: 9th May '08 (Friday)
Time: officially at 1pm. it'll last a few hours.
Place: the meeting point is at our classroom. dharlynnie is trying to get the pa room for us

ITEMS NEEDED:
1. Face paint (red and white. other colours are OK if you have them)
2. Make-up
3. White dresses or gowns (make sure they can fit an average 14-year-old)
4. Long black cloaks
5. Torchlights and batteries (we want to do a count)
6. Dolls
7. Tape/Masking tape/Duct tape
8. Fake knives, made of cardboard (bring scissors etc or paint if you want to use one of the cardboard we have. it's limited supply tho. you can always wrap it up with aluminium foil)
9. Dresses for girls
10. Scary portraits (downloadable off the net. Artistic ppl can draw if you want.)
11. Music (we'll look around for a radio. anyone knows how to play scary music on the piano?)
12. Costumes.

Bring at least one or two items and contribute.

PLAN:
1. Experiment on make-up and clothes
2. Count all our stuff
3. Try out the music etc.

If you pass Mrs Chu, ask her about the skeleton in her class, whether we can borrow it.

Questions:

1. What do we wear?
We're going to try out the costumes for the "scary people". For the others, bring your plain clothes and clothes for our "story". We want to see whether you can blend in the darkness or you stand out like a green leaf in Antarctica.

2. I need to leave early!
SMS class comm you're not coming. Then, try to come next week so we can try the clothes and stuff on you. Tuesday preferably.

Hey 2/1,

I'm really proud of you guys for working the International Friendship Day out. The tile is great :) And eventhough the song item was really last-minute and we didn't even get to perform it out, everyone worked it all out and brought the "costume" and back-up CDs and Hillary even printed the song lyrics and all day, I could hear 'Caritas' being sung (although in slightly off-key tunes). Thanks for being so spontaneous!
